Niġġivikput - "Our Place To Eat" in Barrow
Dining is a breeze when you stay at the Top of the World. The hotel restaurant, Niġġivikput - "our place to eat" - is primarily a dine-in, ocean side establishment, located on the main floor in the new Top of the World Hotel. Our restaurant takes pride in serving reindeer soup, similar to the traditional caribou soup, eaten by locals as part of the region's subsistence diet- just as their ancestors have for generations.
The restaurant staff greets you with a smile and a warm welcome - an Iñupiat invitation to come and share in the bounty. Feel relaxed as you gaze out the windows overlooking views of the Chukchi Sea. There is always a delicious aroma coming from the open kitchen where you may watch as the chefs prepare scrumptious meals.
The menu features American cuisine with an ample supply of tasty items to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And don't forget to order one of our yummy desserts including a superb variety of our house-specialty cheesecakes. The restaurant is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sundays, serving upwards of 90 patrons in its main dining area. Please come and enjoy the great food, wonderful atmosphere, and pleasant company.
